Mountain Biking
On our doorstep, Kogelberg Nature Reserve offers a wonderful ride up the Palmiet River Valley and the local Kleinmond Cycle Club can assist with showing you numerous other routes in the area.
Beaches
The Kogelberg coastline is home to some of the most natural and quiet beaches in South Africa. Whether you want to surf, swim or take a leisurely stroll, you can choose between anyone of the following beaches nearby… Kleinmond and Sandown Bay, the Palmiet lagoon beach, Betty’s Bay or Pringle Bay.
Hiking
The area is rich with mountain walks in the surrounding reserves including Cape Nature’s premier Kogelberg Nature Reserve, Kleinmond Nature Reserve and the Harold Porter Botanical Gardens.
- The African Penguins can be visited at the Stony Point Nature Reserve in Betty’s Bay.
- Visit the quaint cafes and shops in the seaside villages of Kleinmond, Betty’s Bay, Pringle Bay and Rooiels.
- Clarence Drive is one the most scenic coastal drives in the world.
- Visit Hermanus for whale-watching, wine estates, restaurants and shops as well as Fernkloof Nature Reserve.
